Elli
Overview
 |
| You might have seen Elli on a postcard even outside of Rhodes – it’s one of the most well-known spots in Greece. At the same time, it continues to keep alive elements of its cosmopolitan character, which was established in the 1970’s. The British writer Lawrence Durrell called it the most beautiful beach in the Mediterranean. Impressive architectural structures, like the city’s casino and the aquaduct combine this cosmopolitan city image with Elli beach in the background. It is a sandy beach and is one of the most visited beaches on the island. There is a beach volleyball court and a spring-board into the sea, which the hundreds of bathers enjoy while refreshing themselves close to town. |
